Optimum Gut Health ~ Avoid unwanted guests
Many fruits and vegetables host bacteria’s, parasites, or fungi. The best way to avoid these is to soak your produce in acidic solution prior to eating. If you don’t want to purchase “fruit and vegetable wash”, then the next best thing is the white vinegar and lemon or lime soak. The acid rids the produce of unwanted guests. For example: Add ¼-½ cup of vinegar and equal amounts of lemon or lime per gallon of water and soak for 10-20 minutes. Rinse and enjoy! The lemon adds a nice taste too! Only use lemon or lime on berries.
Additionally, remember to always be sure to wash your hands on a regular basis. For example: after stores, changing diapers, gyms, or restrooms. When traveling, use wipes in hotel rooms, elevators, airplanes, or rental cars. Be sanitary to avoid unwanted guests!
Finally, when traveling, or not, use bottled/clean water to drink, brush your teeth, or wash fruits/vegetables. Stick to either cooked foods or foods you can peel to minimize risk of contamination/s.
